looks forward to continued growth in 2006

American Fork, UT, September 30, 2005—Shade Clothing, leading provider of hip, modest clothing for women of all ages, celebrated its one-year anniversary this month. The company marked the anniversary by announcing today that it sold $2.2. million in hip, modest undershirts during its first year of operation.

“I am so thrilled with Shade Clothing’s performance over the past year,” said Chelsea Rippy, founder and CEO of Shade Clothing. “It has been exciting to watch Shade grow from its very humble beginnings in my basement to a company with a dozen employees and 80 sales representatives nationwide. I look forward to keeping this momentum going as we move into2006.”

Shade Clothing’s plans for the upcoming year include: developing the sales representative program in all 50 states, increasing Shade’s retail store presence, introducing new products in the women’s spring and fall lines, expanding the newly introduced Girly Line and launching an entirely new product line.

Shade also plans to hire new employees at all levels in order to strengthen its internal organization. To that end, the company announced today that it has appointed Brad Harker as vice president of Shade Clothing. Harker comes to Shade Clothing with a strong entrepreneurial background and several years of experience building companies in the early stages of development. Prior to joining Shade, Harker was a partner with the Safestone Group, a recruiting and sales firm, which was sold in the fall of 2004. In his new role as VP of Shade Clothing, Harker’s immediate focus is to lead Shade into the next phase of growth, as well as strengthen the structure of internal operations.

“I am excited to join a company with such innovative products and such a promising future,” said Harker. “I feel confident that I can help the company further its success and take advantage of opportunities for continued growth.”

“Shade’s considerable success over the past year is attributable to the strength of our products and also the dedication of our team,” said Rippy. “To reach the goals we have set for ourselves we will need to hire new talent and get the best possible leaders on board. I know we’re taking an important step in that direction by hiring Brad Harker and he will certainly be a valuable addition to the Shade team.”
